Day-by-day itinerary
Day 01 — Paro arrival, Kyichu Lhakhang & the valley Landed and met at Paro, then straight to the Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan, founded in the 7th century. The afternoon is an easy walk through the valley rice fields to a farm house for tea, with an early night at a heritage lodge.
Day 02 — Dochula Pass, the chortens and Thimphu Cross the Dochula Pass to the 108 chortens, then descend into Thimphu for the National Memorial Chorten and the craft quarter. The afternoon is spent with a weaver and a paper-maker, seeing how the capital makes a living, before a welcome dinner with your guide.
Day 03 — Weekend archery, the market & departure Saturday morning is archery at Changlimithang, the national sport and the most genuine hour of the visit. Afterwards the Thimphu market and a final lunch before the drive back to Paro, with the SDF paperwork and departure formalities handled for you.
