Day-by-day itinerary
Day 01 — Chimi Lhakhang & the arrival temples Arrive in Paro and go straight to Chimi Lhakhang, the temple of the Great Blessing, where the King of Bhutan once prayed for an heir. Day 02 — Taktsang and Dobji Lhakhang The Tiger's Nest in the morning, then the shorter forest walk to Dobji Lhakhang above the valley — a small, rarely visited monastery in the pines. The scholar-guide sets out the esoteric and the practical side by side, from the eight manifestations of Guru Rinpoche to how a monastery is fed.
Day 03 — Khansar Gompa, chortens and departure The quiet pilgrimage of the valley: a walk to Khansar Gompa across the cantilevered prayer-flag bridge, tea with a farming family, and a blessing at the Tashi Chodangling shrine. Bags go to the vehicle early and the last of the day is the drive to Paro airport.
