Day-by-day itinerary
Day 01 — Thimphu Arrival & River Briefing Arrive in Thimphu, meet your rafting guide and safety team, and dry-run the paddle work on the flat water below the city. Evening briefing on river grades, signals and the day's safety plan.
Day 02 — Wang Chhu First Runs Class I and II water on the Wang Chhu below Thimphu — wide, forgiving and cold. Three runs, riverside lunch, and enough time to stop and swim in a pool that will reset your thermostat.
Day 03 — South to Punakha & the Mo Chhu Drive south to Punakha for the main event: class III rapids on the Mo Chhu beneath Punakha Dzong, with long calm pools between them. Afternoon on the river, evening in Punakha town.
Day 04 — Dang Chhu Gorge Run The most remote of the three days: a run on the Dang Chhu in a gorge few visitors will ever see, followed by riverside tea and a walk to the riverside viewpoint above Punakha.
Day 05 — Recovery Day & Departure A slow morning on the riverbank, drying gear and photographing the valley, then the drive back to Paro for your onward flight.
